I got into this at ten years old, on a dial-up connection, typing "how
do you make a game" into a search bar. It took me forever just to get a
little spaceship moving across the screen. But the second it did, I was
hooked. Nobody taught me; I read the documentation and figured it out.
More than twenty years later, I'm still at it — including four years on
YouVersion's Bible App, in front of more than a billion people.
My dad and step-dad were both elite tradesmen, one a mechanic and the
other an electrician — fast, precise, and proud of their work. That
same spirit was born into me, and the work that I do. It's
software instead of wiring and engines. It's about doing it right,
working out the hard part, and actually caring about how it turns out.
